Express Tax is Transitioning to RemitOne® Government Payments
The same trusted tax payment experience - now directly supported by Fiserv
RemitOne Government Payments, a Fiserv solution, has been the behind-the-scenes provider of Express Tax for more than 20 years. This transition formalizes that relationship. Your tax payment experience will remain familiar, and we are committed to making this change smooth and seamless, with no disruption to your current payment activity.
What's Changing

As part of this transition, a few things will change:
- Customer Support will be provided directly by Fiserv
- Fiserv will bill customers directly for RemitOne Government Payment services
What's Staying the Same

The most important aspects of your service will remain unchanged. You'll continue to manage and submit tax payments just as you do today.

The Account Administrator will prompted to complete the following steps:
- Review and Accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
- Acknowledge the updated billing process and transaction fee
- Agree to keep a bank account in good standing with Bank of America to continue using the RemitOne Government Payments website
October 23, 2026 - What you'll see

- The new billing process will go into effect

- Yes. Terms and Conditions are available here. The document will open in a new tab, where you can download and save it for your records.

Can I register early for the transition?
- If you would like to register for the transition before August, please email StateRemitOne@Fiserv.com and someone from the RemitOne Government Payments product team will reach out to you for next steps.

Will my pricing change?
- Yes. A flat rate transaction fee of $2.75 per transaction will be charged. The fee will be debited from you bank account on the evening the transaction is sent to the bank. If a payment is canceled before it is sent to the bank, no transaction fee will be charged.

Will there be downtime
- We do not anticipate any downtime. Branding updates will occur overnight, and all data and fee changes will be handled behind-the-scenes.
